A Mantelpiece provides a timeless stunning backdrop that enhances the beauty of any stove and any room in which it is located. Therefore, It is not surprising that stove manufacturers, Television programs and Films depicting a perfect home often feature Mantelpieces. A carefully chosen Mantelpiece can add true depth and character to any room creating a focal point that can complement the aesthetic of any stove and any room.
Building Regulations stipulate how a Mantelpiece should be installed. This is calculated based on the composition of the Mantelpiece, the stove manufacturer’s guidelines, the flue being used and the design of the fireplace. If Building Regulations are not fully complied with when your stove is installed, the installation cannot receive HETAS or OFTEC certification and your home insurance could be invalidated. Equally, if after your stove has been installed, you choose to install a Mantelpiece that dose not comply with Building Regulations your HETAS or OFTEC certification can be invalidated and your home insurance could also be invalidated.
The safest and easiest way to ensure Building Regulations are complied with and your stove receives and maintains HETAS or OFTEC certification is to allow us to supply your Mantelpiece and our HETAS and OFTEC registered engineers install your Mantelpiece when they install your stove.
